CurseStone: open source server software for Minecraft PE 0.15.x (v1.0.1)
Introducing CurseStone, server software for Minecraft: Pocket Edition 0.15.x (protocol 84), written in C and C++. It is now open source under the LGPL-3.0-or-later license.
What it has so far
- Lua 5.4 plugin system, built into the binary (nothing extra to install).
- Two world formats: Anvil (default) and LevelDB.
- Terrain generation with biomes, trees, caves, villages and desert temples.
- Permissions, permission-aware commands, hunger, environmental damage and crafting.
- Built-in diagnostics tools (
/workbench) and crash reports. - Runs on Linux and Android (Termux), and can be built for Windows and macOS.
Project status
CurseStone still has bugs and is not ready to run a stable server yet. It is under active development: it can crash, change between releases and break compatibility (for example, 1.0.1 renamed some config keys). Do not use it yet for a serious server with real players.
How you can help
Anyone can contribute: reporting bugs, testing the server, improving the documentation or sending code as a pull request. If you find a bug, open an issue with the steps to reproduce it and the log or crash dump.
